Merry Christmas!

This year, Justin and I were able to celebrate Christmas with both of our families. Since my sister is a nurse and had to work Christmas day, we held off on my family's Christmas festivities until the 27th and were able to celebrate Christmas with Justin's family on the actual day!

The day started off with breakfast, opening stockings, a little photo session and then present opening. One thing that Justin's family does differently than my family is they pass out all the presents and it is a mad opening spree. Since this is our 4th Christmas together, I have learned to sit back, watch the kiddos open their gifts and see their excitement and then proceed with my own. I love celebrating Christmas with lots of people around, and it is even more fun when little kids are there.

After we cleaned up a bit, I helped Justin's mom with dinner and then we all ate. After dinner, as it is tradition in his family on holidays, we loaded up the cars and headed to the movie theater. Half of us saw Les Miserables, while Nathanael was a trooper and took the kids to see Wreck it Ralph. We came back to the house to snack on some more food and play some games.

It was a wonderful day spent with his family. It was also special because his dad was able to be there and celebrate the day with us in person. I am excited thinking about next Christmas and having our own little addition be a part of the celebration!
