28 weeks!

Justin calls this my pregnancy camouflage shirt because from the front I look normal.

And then I turn to the side and...
 Hello baby :)

How far along: 28 weeks, 1 day~ hello THIRD trimester!
Baby is the size of an: eggplant
Maternity clothes: My two tops arrived in the mail- yay for new clothes and feeling like I have a bit more variety!
Food cravings: Nada.
Anything make you queasy or sick: Nope.
Miss anything: Nope.
Boy or Girl: Boy :)
Movement: He has been very active this week. He seems to be active at all different parts of the day. I had to get my 3 hour glucose tolerance test done on Tuesday and he was bouncing all around for the first 2 hours- must have been all that sugar!
Best moment this week: Getting our first baby shower invite in the mail :) It is so cute and perfect. It coordinates with how we told our families we were pregnant. Being able to tell grandpa the name of his grandson.

Worst moment this week: My father in-law passed away on Sunday morning. This has been the most emotionally difficult week in the pregnancy. We had been praying that he would live long enough to meet one of our children. However, the Lord's will is perfect and I am thankful that he knew we were pregnant and was able to experience some of that joy with us. The night before he passed away, he asked what the baby's name was, so we were able to tell him, which was very special and I am thankful for that opportunity. This baby had one amazing grandpa who truly sacrificed his life for the Lord and loved the Lord.

Best kid comment about the baby this week: One of my students asked me, "When the baby is born, will you tell him that I love him?" Adorable.
Other tidbits: Well, I found out on Friday afternoon that I did NOT pass my glucose screening. I had to take the 3 hour glucose tolerance test on Tuesday, which was not fun at all. The drink was a lot worse the second time around. I felt extremely nauseous for the first hour and getting your blood drawn 4 times is not too much fun. After the test, I felt very shaky, queasy and lightheaded. I also have growing bruises on both arms where the blood was drawn. Thankfully, I PASSED this tolerance test and I do not have gestational diabetes. Next time I am preggo, I am definitely scheduling an early morning appointment and not eating anything before my glucose screening.
How have I been feeling: Besides the emotional ups and downs this week, I have been feeling pretty good. I seem to be getting a little bit of reflux, which is a tad uncomfortable.
Looking forward to: 3 1/2 weeks until baby shower #1!
